Lynne Bryant

Lynne Bryant has always been interested in buildings. She considered studying architecture but was daunted by the seven years and 'a lot of maths', instead studying fine art painting and printmaking.

After a brief period of teaching art Lynne formed the first privately owned UK based photo library for images of architecture and the built world representing photographers from around the world. She was Chairman and a committee member of the British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies and during her tenure oversaw the transition from analogue to digital photography and into an on-line,web based industry.

She has spent her adult life looking at images of architecture, working with architects and editors and visiting buildings for work and pleasure.

In her commitment to the role of photography in architecture Lynne instigated the Architectural Photography Awards in collaboration with the WAF and STO.
